HER INTERNATIONAL

Her International is a non-profit organization focused on educational opportunities, scholarships and providing sustainable life skills for women and girls living impoverished in Nepal. Kevin’s passion for Her International started during a visit to Nepal in 2009 where he and his wife Linda travelled to Kathmandu and the Dang region where they met many of Her International’s sponsored girls and mothers. This was the first of 5 trips in recent years where Kevin has led volunteer groups on various build projects such as Classrooms for a Cause, Unako House and also Earthquake Relief. Kevin’s focus with the charity has been one of profile development, awareness and fundraising.

Founded in 2005 by Michelle Bonneau, the then Executive Director for the Kelowna Family Society, Her International has changed the lives of countless women in Nepal by providing access to learning and education as a combative against poverty.

For over twelve years Michelle traveled back and forth from Nepal to Canada doing her best to support both the cause run completely by a working volunteer board and its counter-part Nepali partner Creating Possibilities-Nepal.

According to Michelle, the miracle of Her International is the dedicated commitment of volunteer directors and the host of volunteers that have been part of Her International’s growth since 2005.

In 2017, Michelle was chosen as the recipient of the highest service award in Canada that is offered to civilians: The Meritorious Service Medal.

Like Michelle, Kevin works to engage others in bettering our world and to promote Her International’s vision. Kevin is passionate about Nepal and its people and has made many friends in the country, he is always looking forward to his next return trip to this beautiful place.
